MMIFF - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Please reach us at mmiffindia@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

The Mentor & Mascot Indian Film Federation (MMIFF) is a professionally governed, Section 8 (Non-Profit) company dedicated to uniting, empowering, and advancing the Indian film, media, and entertainment sectors. MMIFF acts as a platform for industry growth, capacity building, ethical representation, and global outreach.

MMIFF envisions a flourishing Indian film and creative ecosystem recognized globally for its excellence, diversity, and impact.
Its mission is to:

  • Foster talent and innovation across regions

  • Advocate fair industry practices

  • Support professional development and skill-building

  • Promote Indian cinema on international platforms

  • Serve as a catalyst for sustainable industry growth

MMIFF was established in 2020 to provide an organized, ethical, and inclusive platform for film industry professionals, addressing gaps in representation, policy advocacy, and capacity building.

Unlike conventional associations, MMIFF operates with a non-profit, professional, and nationally inclusive approach — blending representation, advocacy, training, market facilitation, and social impact initiatives under one cohesive umbrella.

MMIFF is incorporated as a Section 8 Company under the Companies Act, 2013 (India), allowing it to operate as a Non-Profit Organization (NPO) committed to promoting art, culture, education, and industry welfare without profit motives.

 Yes, MMIFF holds both:

  • 80G Certification: Donations made to MMIFF are eligible for tax deductions under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

Individuals, corporates, and institutions that donate to MMIFF can claim tax benefits under 80G. Moreover, by supporting MMIFF, donors contribute directly to educational, skill-building, and welfare programs for the Indian creative community.
